Hostage

By Colloquial Wordsmiths

Get closer to me

When all this smoke

Of angels and winter

Embrace us,

Embrace me for today,

I’m crumbling

Like a worthless poem

In rude hands.

Hold me closer, love

Please cry as I do

For words decay

On my skin

Like drops of acid

And I’m the mistress

In-charge.

Caress my pained flesh

Like an infant

Play in the nudging colors,

So swollen with narcissism

And hatred

For immature bones

And a grown up throat.

Kiss me every while

You hear thunder

‘cause love,

I’m just a little storm

Cracking lightning

With my fragile wrists

Learning to be a hurricane.

Please, Please

Love me,

As in your benevolent arms

Swings of winds

Give up on torture,

Like an innocent hostage

Breaking in a haul of skies.
