Homemade Honey Roasted Peanut Butter!

Homemade Honey Roasted Peanut Butter!
Seeing as my blog is called The Peanut Butter Runner, only so much time could pass before I posted my own peanut butter recipe, right? After my little Whole Foods Adventure (that you can read about here), I decided that I had to make my own honey roasted peanut butter. Let me tell you. After making homemade peanut butter, you will find it difficult to get excited about normal store bought kinds ever again. All natural, cheaper, healthier, this peanut butter has it all. Go pull out your food processor and a spoon. You're going to want to make this.
Honey Roasted Peanut Butter

Ingredients:
  • Honey Roasted Peanuts (Any size will do, it just depends on how much peanut butter you want!)

Directions:

All you need is a simple food processor and honey roasted peanuts to make this delicacy.

Put the whole peanuts in the food processor. (No chopping or anything is required. Literally just throw them in.) This whole process will take around 5 minutes tops. Unless you decide to make a second batch of course.

Turn on the food processor. Let it grind and grind and grind. (It's really loud, so make sure your parents aren't sleeping. They won't be by the time you're done with this.)

Keep Grinding. The peanuts go through various stages, so no worries. They go from crushed peanuts to a fine powder to a paste to a really thick and crunchy paste. Until suddenly...

The natural oils from the peanuts start to come out, and your major dough ball starts to turn into a creamy peanut butter. (If you like it very smooth like butter, keep processing! The one I made is crunchy!)

Here's the stages the peanuts go through as they turn into peanut butter with no other ingredients added! So cool!

Right when you remove the peanut butter from the processor, it's a little runny because it's warm from the food processor's heat. No worries!

If you put it in the fridge or simply leave it on the counter, it will firm up in no time. Once it's firm, it will look and taste like (if not better) the peanut butter you know and love. Except this one's Au Natural.

I made sure my peanut butter was extra crunchy before I performed the spoonful test. No, this isn't some new scientific test. It's basically me and my dad each grabbing a spoon and eating peanut butter straight from the food processor. #NoShame #HaterzAreOurMotivaterz

Have fun watching your average peanuts become an all natural treat.! It's especially fun to eat it on an apple while having a Harry Potter marathon (which I may or may not be doing right now). It's highly recommended! :)
