So we had the privileged to see Hey Rosetta! live yesterday at the Magic Stick. We got a chance to be so close to the action, literally an arms length away from the band. What everybody says is indeed true, their live sets are amazing and on par with their studio albums. They have indeed put in countless hours of work to be on point and become so tight. Drummer Phil Maloney not only kept the beat but showed us some unique uses of his drum kit by adding a boot atop his snare he was able to add another dynamic to his play. Violinist Kinley Dowling and Cello player Romesh Thavanathan offered up moments of such beauty with their complementary instruments.
