It's DIY Tuesdays and today's DIY is on Hexagon Poster Craft. So I have been obsessed with hexagons lately and I suddenly got inspired by the Hexagons DIY god and made a Hexagon Poster Craft!
Thus presenting my Hexagon Poster craft tutorial in video form:

We're going to start with the template of a hexagon.
Materials for the Hexagons: Paper, Pencil, Penknife/Scissors, Eraser, Compass, Protector, Colour papers, White papers, Paint (optional) - If you want to do some patterned Hexagons
You can get these from your local craft stores/ book shops.
- Draw your 6cm base line
- Use a compass and measure 6cm. This will make your life easier - for those of you who have forgotten how to use a compass please refer to my video)
- Use your protector and make a marking at 120 degrees and 60 degrees at the respective sides
- Join the lines and repeat
- Stop when you've made a hexagon and cut that out
- Use this stencil for the other coloured hexagons
If you're looking for filling up an A3 size board, cut about 14 Hexagons with the above dimensions.
Materials for the rest of the poster: Glue, A3 Drawing Block.
If your hexagons are too light in colour, paint the drawing board black (which is what I did) or get a different coloured board. Lay it out so that you get the idea of what your poster might look like.
When you're happy with your positioning, paste it to your board.
Be sure to keep the excess hexagons for they're great for filling up the gaps in your poster.
After you've paste and cut everything, this is your final product. Put it in a frame and hang it on the wall to present your art piece!
