Posted on the 05 July 2017 by Worldwide @thedomains

We are always looking for ways that we can give our readers a chance to make money. From the sales posts, to guess where an auction will close, to the .XYZ $500 giveaway on the meaning of AYDACFU.

Here is another opportunity to win $500, this one is going to be a little bit of work.

This is the IDN count challenge, .XYZ would like research data on IDN’s.

Let’s get the disclaimers out of the way upfront.

  • TheDomains was not compensated in any way to make this post.
  • TheDomains staff has no say or involvement in determining the winner.
  • The $500 prize will be paid out by the .XYZ registry.

By leaving a comment you acknowledge the above disclaimer.

Here is what you need to do:

1) Post a comment in this post containing 1) a list of the
top 10 overall TLDs (including legacies, nTLDs, ccTLDs) with the
most IDN domains.

2) the number of IDN registrations per TLD.

3) a short description of your sources.

* An IDN is defined as a domain with a punycode (xn—) and ASCII
value.

* Contestants agree to allow XYZ to reference their findings in our
marketing materials.

* Email [email protected] all data/sources supporting their findings
for verification, along with a link/confirmation of their comment on
TheDomains.

* Submissions will be checked/verified in the order they were
posted on TheDomains. Supporting data must be emailed within 1 hour of the comment, or we will move on to the next submission.

* The first comment with verified data will need to submit a W9 or
similar form, along with their PayPal email address to receive the
$500 prize

So remember after you post here your work is not done, you need to email .XYZ at the email mentioned above.

The comments here on TheDomains serve as a public timestamp, so each reader who participates will know exactly when other participants posted their data.

Comments are to be about the challenge, not looking for off topic comments or remarks about .XYZ.
