Heaven Hill Bottled In Bond is the same whiskey that goes in to Evan Williams Bonded, but it ’s aged for 6 years instead of the customary 4 years. This whiskey is known to loose its age statement now and then when stocks run low, but it’s a fairly reliable whiskey so long as you live within its Kentucky-centric distribution area… which I don’t.
In Heaven Hill’s Words: Heaven Hill Bottled In Bond
None Found – I hate when companies don’t list a whiskey, especially one that’s this well known, on their website. That always irks me.
This sample was sent to me by Nick from Breaking Bourbon a year ago and I’m just now getting back to my samples. I feel like a bit of a schmuck for letting it take me this long to circle back to it, but circled I have. It’s also the beginning of me clearing out my samples bin which is currently overflowing; with that let’s jump on in to the Heaven Hill Bottled In Bond review!

OVERALL
Heaven Hill Bottled In Bond can be quite a tasty whiskey; I have no complaints and in every sense of the definition it could be a daily drinker. What’s delivered on the senses is deep and a bit of water opens it up further to unleash and overall character that reminds me of a Butterfinger. If this was available in California I could easily see myself coming home after a long day and pouring a glass of this.
Value-wise the Heaven Hill Bottled In Bond is off the charts, so you’re lucky if you live in an area where it’s distributed. It also comes across like a versatile whiskey that can sit naked in a glass just as easily as it could slip into a cocktail. Looks like I have another whiskey I need to add to my list to bring back the next time I’m in KY.
