Hawker Hurricanes are a rarity in the US and this one in the MAM collection is the only airworthy one.  This example was built in Canada in 1943, never left Canada during the war, and was surplused in October, 1946.  It was recovered from a farm in 1965 and, after a long restoration,  flew again in May, 1994,  and acquired by Jerry Yagen for the museum in 2001.  Nikon D7000 w/18-200 mm, processed with Aperture.
