Have You Heard? The 2014 Football (Soccer) World Cup Songs

By Fashion Addicted Foodies @fashionfoodi

World-Cup-SongsThe 2014 Football World Cup kicks off June 12th in Brasil and we’re going to have a whole month of football from 12 different cities across the country. The tournament is nothing but a huge worldwide event, and this year there are not one but three songs associated with it. Well, Brasil is not only the land of football but known for their love of music as well. The Official Fifa 2014 World Cup Song is by Pitbull and JLO called We Are One (Ole Ola). Then there’s World Cup Song Vida (winner of Sony’s World Cup Supersong contest) performed by Ricky Martin and last but not least there’s Shakira with La La La, which is not an official song associated with the 2014 World Cup tournament but has a video with world famous football players (inlcuding Shakira’s partner Spanish footballer Gerard Piquet). The song proceeds go to the World Food Programme. It’s hard to pick a favorite of the three, they are all high octane Brasilian party songs. I think what sums them up for me is the first line in the Ricky Martin song Vida.  Finally the time has come, let’s just dance in the sun.
