Have you ever been surfing in Sri Lanka?

Political comic Hari Kondabolu at London’s Soho theatre

  1. Get up early and have morning coffee somewhere beautiful. Watching the world wake is quite a special time. Find a cafe that opens early and make an effort to go to it before work.
  2. Read sheet music on your tablet using Scribd. For a reasonable monthly subscription, you can download as much sheet music as you like. There is a huge selection from publishers in addition to uploads from individuals.
  3. Book to see political comic Hari Kondabolu at London’s Soho theater. Named by the New York Times as “one of the most exciting political comics in stand-up today”, Hari Kondabolu is returning to London for the first time in two years for two nights only at Soho Theatre on 10th and 11th October. 4. Discover the Art of Luxury Surfing at Anantara Tangalle in Sri Lanka. Famed for its golden shores, verdant interior teeming with wildlife, spicy cuisine and local smiles, Sri Lanka has also become somewhat of a surfer’s paradise. Year-round balmy Indian Ocean waters and undiscovered swells beckon the adventurous. Budding surfers and experts alike staying at Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort can enjoy the secluded beachfront setting and easy access to some of the best surfing on the island.
  5. Go the Rose Theatre Kingston to see For Love Or Money. It’s the 1920s. In a small Yorkshire town, the wily-widow, Rose (Sarah-Jane Potts, Waterloo Road; Holby City), entertains the advances of two dubious suitors. Fuller (Barrie Rutter) is a fabulously rich and morally corrupt banker who woos Rose by parading his wealth whilst hiding a few secrets. Handsome Arthur (Jos Vantyler) is much younger and deceitful through and through. He plays Rose for as much money as she can take from Fuller. A love triangle then; a deliciously wicked tale of rivalry and greed. Throw in a bailiff (Jordan Metcalfe), a drunkard, a vamp, a second-hand clothes dealer and two upwardly mobile servants, and the complications multiply.  Adapted from Alain-Rene Lesage’s savage eighteenth-century comedy Turcaret, Blake Morrison’s For Love or Money is a story of monstrous wealth and whopping lies.
