The world’s best dinner parties

Around the World in Eight-y Dishes_1

Home for unique food experiences including ‘secret’ supper clubs and ‘pop up’ kitchens.  So if you fancy breaking bread with one of the nation’s most talented broadcasters and stand-up comedians? Or how about indulging in a secret multi-course Japanese dinner where sounds and images blur the line between the real and the unreal? Love food, socialising and new escapades, then Tabl is for you.

This Saturday there will be dinner at The Glebe House, Clapham.

The Glebe House is a beautifully converted Georgian Coach house, built around 1825. A private home, photographic and film location, B&B and small event space, Glebe House is owned by Alix, who invited DDC to take a look. It is on the site of the original Manor House of Clapham, and the surrounding area was the original Clapham village. There has been a church on the site next door overlooking the Thames since as early as the 12th century, and is said to be where many of Oliver Cromwell’s army are buried.

Dinner will be served in the the living room, which used to be a passageway through which the horses and carriages traveled into the stable yard beyond. DDC will be setting up in the fantastic kitchen, and Alix will be on hand to show guests around the house. Rooms are also available should any one wish to make a night of it, and you can contact Alix for the B&B at http://www.theglebehouselondon.com.
