Happy World Tennis Day! Just in case you didn't know that there is such a holiday, well, there is. And today is it.
World Tennis Day is an annual celebration of tennis around the world hosted by the ITF and national tennis associations world-wide. You may have seen ads for various BNP Paribas Showdown events which bring together tennis stars of the past and present to face off in huge venues for a one-night celebration of the game. I think we will see events in New York, London and Hong Kong this year. And you might just see some events in your own home town since this event is really being promoted to tennis professionals and clubs around the world.
So get out on the courts and celebrate World Tennis Day - I will be!
