Happy Thanksgiving

By Wardrobeoxygen
Happy ThanksgivingThis morning in the community garden, wearing Universal Standard overalls (Small), an old J. Crew striped top, an old Halogen cashmere beanie, Ray-Ban aviators, and Sorel boots

This morning I didn't set an alarm. I woke up, did some sun salutations, and went to the community garden to pick cabbage for the side dish we're taking to my cousin's house for Thanksgiving. They say that cabbage is sweetest after the first frost, and the whole garden was covered with sparkles. We walked down to the garden without rushing, Karl is making his amazing cabbage slaw/salad/thing, Emerson is getting dressed, and I am in my office feeling thankful.

This has been an intense year. Our government, the natural disasters that continue to affect so many parts of our country and the globe, the news full of people lying, assaulting, killing, and taking advantage of others and their positions of power. I left my job and each day I feel grateful to pursue a dream and panicked that I made a foolish decision. But to not only get through it all, to be a benefit to others and to this world, I am focusing on what I am thankful for.

And I am so thankful for all of you. I'm tearing up (glad I haven't done my face yet) thinking of the amazing community here at Wardrobe Oxygen. You phenomenal women across the globe I have connected with, befriended, learned from. How much I have grown and improved with your insight and your support. How much this blog has grown thanks to your feedback and community. It sounds so cliché, but you make me want to be a better person and make this the best blog possible. Thank you.
