Happy 2nd Birthday to My Baby Boy!

By Upliftingfam @upliftingfam

Happy 2nd BirthdayWow, I can’t believe it has been two years since I was impatiently awaiting for you to arrive.  I remember when I was on my way to my final doctors appointment, I didn’t know that it would be my final visit as a pregnant mom. I had a previous history of low amniotic fluid during my previous pregnancy and she order the ultrasound to ensure that I still had enough fluid surround my baby since my appointment happened to be on my due date and would soon be overdue.  My doctor scheduled the ultrasound to check on your fluid levels only to discover that you decided to gymnastics in my stomach.

As the ultrasound technician was scanning my stomach, I realized that something was not right and knew that something wrong.  Your weekend gymnastic event left you in the breech position, which mean that you were no longer head down.  In fact, on the previous Friday when my doctor was checked mommy for signs of labor you were head down.  I knew immediately that the news wasn’t good and that I was going to have to have a c-section.  Mommy was so sad and upset because I really didn’t expect to have to have surgery to get you out of my belly but mommy knew that it was best for the doctor to cut me open to get you out safely.  Mommy’s doctor scheduled my surgery.  I left my doctor’s appointment devastated but at the same time I was excited that I was going to be holding you in a few days.

Son, you are an absolute joy to have around and you light up my life.  You look just like your daddy and you have the sweetest personality.  I am thankful to be your mommy.  Happy Birthday Day Baby Boy, I can’t believe that you are two years old already.  I have no idea where time has gone but you are big boy now.  I wanted to share some of my favorite memories of you that you have given me over the last two years.

  • I miss those tiny kicks, jabs, and movement that made me smile each time that I felt you move in my belly.
  • I loved feeling those tiny hiccups that you got while you were in mommy’s tummy.
  • Daddy caught me holding your hand for the first time, he even captured a picture of this moment.  I held your hand when they placed you on the hospital bed next to me to wheel us to the recovery room.
  • I remember the first time I breastfed you.
  • All of those late night feedings and the snuggle time that we had together while I breastfed you.
  • Seeing your face light up when you discovered how to roll over, sit up, crawl, and walk.
  • The way that you use your good manners each and every day.
  • I love when tell me that you love me.
  • I love when you learn a new word and are able to tell me all about it.
  • I love watching you learn new things and discover the world around you.
  • I love the way that you interact with your older brother and sister.
  • When you try to hide in the pantry and say “bye you too” as you close the door as you try to I hide from us.
  • I love you sloppy wet kisses and hugs.
  • I love when I hold you and you start patting me on the back.
  • I love watching you try to jump off the back patio on to the grass.

Happy SEcond Birthday Baby Boy!
