All I Want for Christmas is You (Fate with a Helping Hand #1)
by Lisa Mondello

Sometimes fate needs a little hand…

Santa Claus is going to have a rough season… Lauren Alexander is raising her daughter alone. Abandoned by her family for her decision to keep her daughter Kristen, she has done a pretty good job for the last six years. Or she thought she had. That’s why she is crushed when little Kristen gives up her wish for a toy or goodie and instead asks Santa for a present for her mother. She wants Santa to bring a Daddy. Delivering Daddies isn’t Santa’s bag.

But this Santa has a plan…

Kyle Preston knows what it is like to be abandoned too. Luckily he found the support of loving adoptive parents and has turned himself into one of the most successful Real Estate developers in town.

Building a house is easy. Building someone’s trust is a whole other story. But with a little helping hand, a little Christmas magic can make all the difference in the world.

Guest Review: All I Want for Christmas is You by Lisa Mondello
My thoughts:Around the end of November I find myself seeking out Christmas books and movies, I have to see and read them all.  As this was a free download from Amazon and I was presently surprised how much I enjoyed it. The story line is not unique; however the author did put certain originality to this tale. The story is about single mom, Lauren who’s raising her six year old daughter, Kristen, on her own.  Lauren has learned to rely only on herself after being rejected not only by her own parents but the baby’s father, and in the process her heart has harden.  On a chance encounter at the mall, could Santa be the one to melt her heart?Dressing up as Santa, you would think Kyle Preston has heard all kind of wishes, but can he fulfill the wish of a young girl? All she wants for Christmas is a Daddy.  After Kyle meets Lauren, he quickly learns that Lauren doesn’t trust easily. Fortunately, Kyle has been there done that. He himself knows what abandonment is, when he was young boy shortly after his mom’s death, his father petitioned the courts to denounce him as the father so he could avoid paying child support.  What a louse! How could your heart not hurt for that little boy. I won’t give his story away, but he found a couple that opened their arms and their heart for him. With the love and support of a good family, Kyle has turned his life around. Now he just needs to convince Lauren that he could do the same for her
and Kristen.
This story is heartwarming and sweet. You couldn’t help by cheer Kyle on as he set out to win Lauren’s heart.  The author did a good job developing the characters. This book did not contain graphic sex scenes; it was a clean holiday romance book. If you would like a change of pace and a light hearted Christmas romance, this would be a good book to try. SEXUAL CONTENT: 2/5
