[Guest Post] Turn Up The Rad: Birthday Par-tay Decor

By Erika Brechtel @smallshopstudio

Please welcome Jonalynn of Turn Up The Rad!

For the birthday week finale, I am so excited to introduce you to someone new. Jonalynn is a multi-talented graphic designer, photographer and self-professed “pattern junkie.” This girl knows color, and has a knack for crisp, vibrant design. I especially love her roundups, where she always introduces me to new products and ideas. Plus she is super fun, can you tell??

Hey, party people. Jonalynn from Turn Up The Rad here. I was so honored when the Birthday girl asked me to help celebrate her special week with a guest post. Erika has impeccable style and is a constant source of inspiration when it comes to interiors, fashion and graphic design. And in keeping with the inspired theme, I wanted to share party decor I’ve been loving lately.

Birthday celebrations have come a long way since the days of treat bags and grocery store cake. There really is no limit on how to dress up a party, and the process can sometimes be as much fun as the celebration itself. If I were planning a party, I would start with pretty garland, yummy champagne, modern invites, good homies, an ice cream cake and DIY centerpieces with painted votives.

I’m sure whatever decor Erika chooses for her party will be perfectly put together.

Turn a year older in style with these must-haves:
Pink champagne / Dot garland / Fringed invites
Good friends / Ice cream cake / Painted votive

Thank you all for celebrating with me this week! I ended up being busier than I had planned (duh), but I wouldn’t have been able to do anything worthwhile without my superb guest bloggers who really made me feel extra special:  Tobe, Sabra, Irene, Elizabeth and Jonalynn – you all ROCK!

Have a superb weekend — I’ll be back on Monday!
