So far in 2014: 3.86 ERA, 0-1. Most alarmingly, 2 blown saves in 6 tries, equalling his total blown saves for all of last year. Should we be worried about Jason Grilli?
I truly don't hang this one all on Grilli.
If Pedro simply throws to first base to get the easy out I Braun (I think it was the 6 inning) instead of trying to tag the runner and getting into a run down, in which the runner was safe, and that lead to two runs...the game is out of hand by the 9th and Grilli doesn't even pitch with the Bucs up 4.
Grilli went after Braun and he clubbed one. Nothing wrong with what he did. Do I wish it was a better outcome, sure. But I'm not worried yet.
I think the fact that Wandy is still in the rotation is the bigger question mark.

Give him some time I think. Some just need some time to start catching fire. Although IMO I think we could be in the market for a pitcher sometime soon, so I wouldn't be surprised if we make another trade there and tweak the rotation a bit.
