Greenleaf star, Lynn Whitfield has signed on to co-star in the Netflix comedy Nappily Ever After, joining actress Sanaa Lathan and actor Ernie Hudson.
According to reports, “Nappily Ever After,” based on a best-selling book, tells the story of Violet Jones (Lathan), whose world is turned upside down after a trip to the hairdresser gone horribly wrong. Forced to wear a style of hair that did not match her seemingly perfect life or image, Violet begins to have an epiphany about what it means to live life on your own terms.
Lynn Whitfield will play Violet’s mother, Paulette.
The movie is based on author Trisha T. Thomas book of the same name.
