GOP is the Party of Unjust Government, Unequal Government, and Poor Economic Policy

The founding fathers of this country knew and understood what they were doing, when they wrote these words in the preamble of our Constitution (emphasis mine):
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
We have seen those nations which are socialist hybrids be more successful socially and economically, by EVERY metric, including freedom.  The GOP is the party that consistently benefits the 1%, not the 99%, and especially not the lower economic demographic - into which ALL of us are sliding under GOP policies.  Fewer and fewer of us are achieving the American Dream of success.  Spending money on the social safety network is not just the right thing to do, it is good economic policy, and it makes us a stronger nation to have well fed, well educated, well housed, HEALTHY people in our work force and to provide qualified people for our defense and security.  Privatizing services does a poor job of cost cutting and good result in providing for our security; the practice - promoted by Dick Cheney and his cronies - of private contracting out the services of our military has NOT produced the promised savings. The practice of privatizing prisons and schools and libraries and VOTING are all other examples of FAILING to provide for Justice, domestic Tranquility, common defense OR provide for the general welfare.
Taxation and subsidy policies from the right not only have NEVER produced the promised benefits, and have fallen consistently short, by huge amounts, of the promised benefits, they consistently produce the worst inequity in wealth and income.  Their policies produce booms and busts and other economic instability and volatility, they produce stock market and other crashes, their anti-regulation policies produce horrific environmental damage and fraud like the results of the repeal of Glass-Steagal.  Those who suffer are the majority; those who profit are the top 1-2 %, courtesy of the GOP.
There is NO valid justification for cutting food assistance or other funding of our poorest citizens. There is NO valid justification for the millions of people who do not receive adequate health care, housing, or who receive substandard education in  unsafe and substandard schools.
