Halfway between the town of Burgos and Pagudpod is the coastal town of Bangui. The popular attraction here are the Bangui windmills . You would hardly miss them from the highway on the way to Pagudpud. But seeing them from afar wouldn’t be called a complete Ilocos roadtrip. Such was the feeling when we finally arrived in the wind farm – it was a blast to finally see it up close. It was strikingly out of the ordinary just being here. I can’t think of any place like this in the country. We suddenly forgot that we’re very much hungry that time.Going Where the Wind Blows,Bangui Windmill“Swoosh! Swoosh!” That Nike-sounding babble is supposedly the sound coming from the rotating windmill. They are somewhat like giant electric fans lined up on the shore. I can’t help but in awe while standing below these exceedingly huge structure. 
Going Where the Wind Blows,Bangui WindmillJust the thought of these massive spinning blades  falling on us would leave our body slice or worse splattered into pieces.  Barring any Final Destination thoughts we just spent the time snapping pictures and good laughs. On a serious note, these huge white structures built by Northwind Power Development Corporation– all 70m high provides most of the electricity in the region  to prevent global warming. We stayed there for an hour eating our lunch and simply enjoying these massive man-made wonder.
