Going Balmi for Bami!

By Amandainneverland @amandajtweets
Good afternoon girlies,
Phew! I've had such a productive day, I've managed to write up the first draft of my personal statement for the PGCE courses I'll be applying to soon! I can't believe I'm in my third year of university already and in a years time I'll be on a teaching course - exciting times! I've managed to fit an hours work out in, trim my fringe AND blitz my room!
I'm meeting up with a lovely friend of mine too later for a coffee catch-up and more than likely some food. I'll post an OOTD tomorrow, as I still haven't decided what to wear yet thanks to this ever-changing weather!
So, due to my quite busy day, I thought I'd do a quick post on my latest beauty obsession: Balmi!

As you have probably already noticed, there is a striking resemblance to EOS. However, EOS lipbalms are really hard to get a hold of here in the UK except for purchasing online. However, one of the main reasons I don't shop online much is that I'm impatient. I'd much rather nip down the shops and get what I want now rather than waiting around for the post man.
A couple of weeks ago I wrote a review on Burts Bee's lip balm, which alas, I lost last weekend! Balmi was an impulse purchase as I quickly needed to replace the Burts Bee's one that I lost. It retails at £4.99 and is avaliable from most Boots. It seems a bit pricey for a lip balm however you are getting 10.5g. So it actually works out cheaper.
They come in a varity of flavours: strawberry, coconut, blackcurrent, raspberry and mint. I have the mint one which has an added tingle affect which I love. Plus, I adore mint! However, I think when this runs out, I'll replace it with the raspberry one.
The lipbalm applies really thinly on to the lips, but lasts a really long time so you don't have to keep applying it. I've also started wearing it underneath lipstick which makes the lipstick stay on longer and apply more smoothly.
I also love the fact that it has a keyring attachment! And due to it's bulky shape I doubt Balmi will face the same fate as all my previous lipbalms: In the bottom of a bag, lost somewhere.
I'm sold! No other lipbalm brand for me. :)
(Although, my boyfriend really hate it because he says it looks like an eye... He's a strange one!)
