I must admit that this is one of my pet peeves -- saying something bad was just god's will. I agree with George Carlin about this. Saying something is god's will is just a rather sneaky way to say you don't have an answer or an argument. If you believe poverty, disasters, wars, or other bad things are god's will, then you must believe in a rather vicious kind of god.
