Goc Shipped Away

Interesting trade The*Pittsburgh Penguins*added*another pest to their lineup*Tuesday by acquiring*Maxim Lapierre*from the*St. Louis Blues*in exchange for*Marcel Goc. Both Goc and Lapierre were playing depth minutes for their respective teams prior to the trade, with neither forward averaging more than 12:24 time on ice. Lapierre*joins*Steve Downie*as the agitators on Pittsburgh's roster and brings 75 games of playoff experience, while Goc was one of the Penguins' better faceoff takers and leads all Pittsburgh*forwards in shorthanded time on ice. Lapierre will apparently be*ready to play for Pittsburgh*against the*Washington Capitals*on Wednesday.
