It was a little over a week ago that the fine folks over at Saffron Road contacted me and made me aware of their awesome line of products. With product names like Chipotle and Korean flavored chickpeas I was immediately sold since I am a chickpea junkie and love roasting chickpeas for a quick and healthy snack. I immediately jumped at the opportnity to sample a few of their products and let me say out the gate I have no regrets. In fact their shout out couldn’t have come at a better time. With our market officially open I am on the hunt to find premium gluten free snacks and treats to fill our shelves.
Saffron Road boasts a line of 100% halal, sustainably farmed and all natural products. Their product line is full of healthy, gluten free and vegan friendly food stuffs including gluten free chicken nuggets, stir frys, curries, and roasted chickpeas.

I received 4 frozen entrees and four bags of chickpeas. If I wasn’t already sold after tasting the first kernel of Chipotle Chickpeas the Bibimbop Tofu frozen dinner had me hooked for sure. Who knew a frozen meal could boast such a medley of brown rice, chunks of tofu, and fresh veggies piping hot and ready in less than 5 minutes. These products are made with whole real ingredients and free of all the salt, coloring and unnatural preservatives that plague many a frozen meal. What’s even better is that Saffron has a product for just about everyone; carnivores too.
It is a godsend to find a company dedicated to providing premium tasting gluten free, vegan and vegetarian foods that use whole real ingredients without compromising taste and flavor. I cannot wait to add a few of their products to the market and I look forward to sampling more of Saffron Road.
