Giving Thanks for What We Have

By Drpamelarutledge @pamelarutledge

Thanksgiving is a time to look around and be grateful for what we have and to celebrate the richness and opportunities in our lives.  Sometimes it helps to be reminded of just how much we do have by seeing the lives of others.  My colleague Dr. Leo Chan was in Cambodia a few months ago.  From photographs he took, he put together a Slideshow/Presentation on video called “Hopes and Dreams: Children in Cambodia.” Leo’s goal is to raise awareness of the extreme poverty in Cambodia and underscore the importance of education as a life-changing for a child.  Many Cambodian children, however, don’t have the chance to attend school at all. Those who do are full of the hopes of building a better future for themselves and their families.
