Givenchy Magic Lip and Cheek Balm

Givenchy Magic Lip and Cheek balm
After I mentioned the Givenchy Magic Lip and Cheek Balm in my last post I realised that I've never reviewed it so here goes.
I'm a sucker for anything that claims to adapt to your skin tone. I loved mood rings and that love translated into my makeup. If a product claims to "adapt to your natural skin tone" or "turn into your perfect pink" etc I need it. When I saw the Magic Lip and Cheek balm on Musings of a Muse, I immediately went to Strawberrynet and bought it.
Givenchy says: Overflowing with volume boosting moisture and pink tinged light, this light enhancing balm creates a bitten lips effect and just back from outdoors cheeks in just seconds. Instant, fresh, volumising pink glow on demand!

An irresistible little jar for a sparkling look at any time of the day or night. Part lip care, part makeup, this Magic Balm brightens up the lips and cheeks in a flash.
Enriched with spheres of hyaluronic acid and Luffa Oil, its formula combines volume-boosting moisture with dazzling brilliance. As soon as it is applied, the balm’s pinkish color adapts to your natural skin tone. On the lips, its transparent glossy pink has a plumping effect, for an irresistibly seductive pout.
On the cheeks, it highlights the complexion and develops a luminous natural glow in seconds.Givenchy Magic Lip and Cheek balmAs with most of the color adapting products, this really doesn't change much on me. It looks the same as you see in the swatches above. There's no magic, but it's still a lovely product. At first I only used it as a lip balm but now that the cold weather has hit I've been using it as a blush too, I'm loving the rosy cheek look.
If you've always used powder blushes, using a cheek balm takes a bit of getting used to. Instead of setting to a powder finish, Magic Lip and Cheek Balm stays glossy so that my cheeks look a little glossy. That sounds strange but in reality it looks fresh and healthy. If I can get a decent photo I'll update my post so you can see what I mean. The color is sheer but buildable, it's very easy to touch up though so the sheerness isn't a problem. I get around half a days wear before I need to touch up.
As a lip balm this is gorgeous. It's glossy and very hydrating. I get around four hours wear before I need to reapply.
If you can get your hands on Magic Cheek and Lip Balm I highly recommend it!
