Give Your Valentine’s Day Flowers a Make Over

Give your Valentine's Day flowers a make over

If you love Valentine's Day flowers but you're getting a bit tired of the same old designs, you might want to spruce things up a little this year. Fortunately, there are a number of great ways to add something extra without spending too much time or money on your design.

One great idea is to order a selection of long stem red roses and add some smaller pink flowers such as those of the daisy variety. Place a few pieces of square white tissue paper on a table and place your flowers on top. Make sure that you spread the flowers out a bit and allow the red and pink blooms to mingle so that you don't have clusters of colour. Roll the bouquet up in the paper in a kind of cone shape so that the top has a wide opening and the base is tapered. Tie the bottom together with some red ribbon to hold it in place and for extra colour.

Another great option is to buy a beautiful house plant and a suitable ceramic or decorative pot. Your potted plant will usually arrive in a plastic pot but, if you want it to look even more special, you should transplant it into a more stylish home. Once you have transplanted the house plant, you can add a card or even a heart pick for that final touch.

For a really romantic gesture, you can place one or two red roses in a slender vase and place it on a presentable tray. Add two glasses of bubbly and a box of luxury chocolates and you have the perfect all-in-one gift!

Remember, no matter how you present your Valentine's Day flowers, the most important thing to remember is to always think of the recipient and whatever will make them smile. You can present flowers in person, have them delivered, or even set a cuddly teddy bear holding flowers on their bedside table just before they wake up!
