Camilla Luddington (Claudette) isn’t the only fairy talking about her experience on True Blood. This week actor Giles Matthey, who plays the fairy Claude, sat down with Just Jared for an exclusive interview that also included a shirtless photo shoot!
Claude who was last seen helping Sookie (Anna Paquin) escape fairyland in She’s Not There is described by Matthey as smelling like:
“…Fresh baked bread, cotton candy, and sex.”
What a dynamite combination! It’s easy to see why the character was introduced to us as a potential love interest for Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll). As for the actor himself, Giles can’t say enough good things about True Blood and says he now understands its massive following:
“I am so lucky and so honored to be working on such a great show. I can completely understand why it has such a massive following as for me it has such great quality in all areas. I watch the show and was struck firstly by the great acting and how alive they all are. The writing is also a major contributing factor to this as well and I really cant wait to see what happens.”
But like the rest of the cast, Matthey remained mum on what to expect on the HBO series saying that the writers guard the scripts closely:
“I really can’t wait to see what happens in the show as I am certainly a fan of the show too, however, the writers guard their scripts with their lives, and rightly so. So I am never able to take a sneak peak into the future of the show.”
