GETTING THE BRIDE READY;

Getting the bride ready on her wedding day is one of the most important jobs of a bridesmaid, she need to be at the brides side most of the day, making sure her hair, make up and dressing is all done on time.  More often than not when a bride is extremely behind time is because of a hold up along the journey of getting ready.

Timing in itself , should go to plan until you run over 10 mins on your nails, 5 mins on your makeup and before you know it you are 1/2 hour over your limit.

With help of the brides maids you will get to the church on time, just remember to delegate jobs to them all, do not think you have to every thing on your special day.

TIPS FOR GETTING THE BRIDE READY ON TIME

  1. Always allow an extra 15 mins for each appointment, especially if you need to travel to an appointment, you never know when a traffic jam will happen.
  2. Try to organize appointments together if you are getting the bride ready in one spot. Her nails can be done at the same time her hair is being made beautiful.
  3. Arrange to have more than one make up artist visit you so the whole bridal party is getting done at the one time, starting with the bride of course.
  4. Pre plan to have everyone one of your brides maids  a task for the getting ready process . You can assign to one, the task of making sure the brides evening bag has her touch up lipstick, tissue s and anything else she may desire.
  5. Allow at least an hour for getting the bride ready in her dress if she has a lace up back. These lace ups look slimming and are stunning, but they take time to lace, especially with freshly done finger nails, one tip is to use a small safety pin on the ribbon which makes looping through the holes easier.They need to be laced evenly and will as a rule need at least two tightenings to get it right, this job alone can take a fair time.  Even before the bridal gown is put on the bride may need a hand with her under garments if she is wearing a corset. Remember to apply her perfume before the dress.
  6. Once the bride is dressed there is the jewelry to be put on, and also her shoes, with both of these depending on her style of dress the bride may need a hand.
  7. Have one brides maid in charge of handing out small nibbles, like a sandwich platter, as it maybe a long time before your wedding supper, and you dont want fainting on the day.
