I mostly stick to carrier oils because they have a lot of great properties people overlook in favor of essential oils, but recently I ventured into the world of aromatherapy, and I love it.
My biggest issue was trying to figure out which oils to buy. I knew there were a few recipes I wanted to try right away, but I didn’t want to buy a bottle of oil and never use it again because I couldn’t find a recipe that called for it.
So rather than wasting my money, I went looking for a resource and I found a great ebook called the 5 Oil Toolkit. The premise of the book is that you can make over 130 recipes with just 5 essential oils.
Prior to this, I had only purchased Thieves Oil which I have been diffusing all winter. You see, this year I decided not to take the flu shot and I started this whole regimen that involved diffusing Thieves and taking supplements. So far, I’ve had no colds or flu all winter. But I digress, back to the ebook.
So the main reason I only bought the one essential oil blend is because I was didn’t want to waste money. Also, if you do search on the term ‘essential oil’ you’ll see the madness out there. These oils are crazy popular, and I was in information overload — unable to make a decision.
Fortunately I found the ebook and it simplifies things for me. It explains the basics of working with these oils and what not to do. It goes on in very clear detail how to create body scrubs, bath oils, shower steamers and lots more.
The oils you need to buy are not hard to find or expensive. They’re probably the most common essential oils being used. If you’ve been on the fence about using essential oils, I can understand why, but there’s no need with this ebook.
If you’re curious, check out the website. Even without the book there is a ton of information and recipes available.
There’s a lot of satisfaction that comes from making your own stuff, especially when it works better than the stuff you bought in the store and cost you more money.
Once you get started, you’ll find there’s so many ways you can incorporate essential oils into your life. Lately I’ve been using the Thieve’s Oil blend for a lot more than what I initially purchased it for. That’s how it is with aromatherapy—you find that it has so many practical uses. Getting started with essential oils is not as complicated as it seems, so please do me a favor and check it out here. You won’t regret it.
