Gen Con's Historic 50th Convention Is This Weekend
“Our team is ecstatic to see so many choose to celebrate gaming history with us at the historic Gen Con 50,” said Adrian Swartout, Gen Con CEO. “In this milestone year, we have seen gamers from around the world decide to make Gen Con their summer destination, and we’re anticipating our best show yet. We’ve made optimizing the attendee experience a core goal for Gen Con 50, and we are committed to balancing growth with world-class programming.”
Extend your Gaming Experience at IND Airport The Indianapolis Airport (IND) loves Gen Con so much that they're creating dedicated gaming spaces following Gen Con on August 20 and 21. If you're flying out of Indy post-show, these will be great locations to play games while you wait for your flights! In three dedicated gaming areas, they will provide tables and chairs with nearby signage indicating the specific gaming areas.
The three locations will be at
Civic Plaza (in the pre-security check area, just past the ticketing hall near the restaurants)
Concourse A near 96th Steakburgers
Concourse B near Shapiro’s Deli
Play spaces in the concourses will be smaller in area as compared to Civic Plaza, based on space allocation and airport operations. Help us extend thanks to IND Airport via Twitter using the hashtag #loveindy. Tweet your gaming experience at IND airport with #gencon50, and remember to leave plenty of time to make it to your gate!
Will CallWill Call also will open at noon on Wednesday, August 16, and is open 24 hours per day until Sunday, August 20 at 3 pm. Please remember your ID for packet pick-up. Will Call has been expanded for 2017, and the team looks forward to rapidly processing your orders.
Gen Con 50 takes place August 17-20, 2017 in the Indiana Convention Center, at Lucas Oil Stadium, and at participating hotels. The convention will feature more than 500 exhibitors, more than 17,000 events, and an exclusive concert from Grammy-winning recording artist They Might Be Giants.
Look forward to seeing you all there!
