Dream Popsters, rejoice! GEMS is a Washington D.C. based duo that seems poised to make a lot of noise in 2013–all very calmly, of course. “Void Moons” follows the standard protocol, but rather than reach for the epic (like, say M83 might do) they settle on something quieter. The result is a jam with a serious undertow, one that washes you somewhere you didn’t know you wanted to be.
