-The Blues have 97 points and are in the race for the President's Trophy, trailing only Montreal, NY Rangers, and Anaheim, who all possess 99.
-Patric Hornqvist not going to play this evening. Evgeni Malkin is not likely to play, although there is a chance he could suit up.
-Pittsburgh is going for the season series sweep. If the Penguins are victorious, they will take the series for the first time since the 1998-1999 season. Since that year, St. Louis has swept Pittsburgh twice (2001-2002 & 2013-2014).
