"Last visit to Chase Field went well for Burnett

A.J. Burnett's forgettable 2014 season -- pitching for the Phillies, he led the National League both with 18 losses and 122 runs allowed -- included one memorable day, and he returns to that scene on Saturday. Burnett takes on the D-backs at 8:10 p.m. ET, in the same place and on the near anniversary of arguably his best '14 outing, eight innings of five-hit, eight-strikeout, no-walk pitching in a 2-0 win on April 27.
Rubby De La Rosa, on the other hand, will be facing the Pirates for the first time in his career. None of the 26-year-old right-hander's 31 career starts have come against the Bucs.
Things to know about this game
• Outfielder David Peralta is expected in the lineup, with a lefty (Francisco Liriano) going for the Bucs on Sunday and manager Chip Hale planning to get him a start during the weekend. Peralta beat up Pittsburgh pitching last season for a .393 average (11-for-28) with two homers and seven RBIs.
• The Pirates overcame historical woes against NL West clubs to go 20-12 against teams from that division last season -- including 10-7 in away games.
• Aaron Hill has had the most experience (25 at-bats) and success (.320) against Burnett. The other current D-backs have a total of 34 career at-bats against the righty.
