Android is getting updated more often than ever. Because of this, the current Android 4.2.2 version is only on few of the latest devices as all the companies have to go through a whole lot of trouble to update the devices each time one of these updates gets released. Samsung seems to be tired of this already, they have decided to skip the new Android 4.2.2 for Galaxy Note II and upgrade the device when Google comes out with the next big update, Android 4.3.

According to Telstra, “Samsung have elected globally to skip the 4.2.2 update for this device and will instead go to a newer version of Android.”  This could be good for the companies but in customer point of view it’s not exactly the news we want to hear. Google is keeping the next Android update to announce alongside with their upcoming revamped Nexus devices and possibly with the Moto X phone. So, they won’t be giving out this update to everyone as soon as it’s announced. My guess is that Note II users will have to wait a long time before receiving another Android update.
