Fun in the Sun with Intel

intel tablet review asus

I never thought I would associate a great summer with technology, but thanks to Intel and a broken arm my thoughts have changed! With the complications with my arm injury, I’ve spent the summer with a cast on my dominant arm, making summer activities like going to the pool, reading a summer chick lit novel at the beach, or adjusting a camera for quality photos outdoors quite complicated or nearly impossible. When Intel sent me the Acer Iconia 1A-830 to review, I realized how a single piece of technology can make everyday tasks easier, more fun, and make it easier to enjoy the summer.

With one arm, I’ve found my Intel tablet to replace many summer activities and make my summer more fun. It’s hard to keep a beach read open and flip pages with only one arm, but with my tablet I can use my Kindle app with ease. This tablet powered by Intel has a longlife battery that can rival e-Readers (7.5 hours with a single charge), but with all the color and capabilities of a traditional tablet. I can’t adjust my DSLR camera, but with my Intel tablet, I can shoot photos at 5 megapixels, edit with VSCO Cam and other apps, and quickly upload to Instagram or Facebook to share with friends and family. A phone’s screen is a bit hard to navigate with my non-dominant hand, but with a big tablet like this, I don’t stumble when typing and scrolling. And with the 7.9″ XGA high resolution 4:3 aspect ratio screen yet it only weighs 0.83 lbs, this tablet is perfect for snuggling in bed after a long day outside enjoying a movie on Netflix or my local cable provider’s app.

Having one of the great Intel Tablets makes it easy to have fun in the sun even though my arm is keeping me from more traditional summer activities. It’s light weight makes it easy to slip it into my bag so I can read a book, take photos and videos, or even write this very blog post on the go while watching my loved ones splash and play in the sun.  My summer essentials are a Panama hat and oversized Ray-Ban aviators to protect from the sun, water to stay hydrated, a moisturizing lip balm in the same shocking pink as my cast and my Intel tablet!

If a tablet powered by Intel sounds great to you, I encourage you to Join the Intel Advocate Experience! !
