This post is part of a weekly series of ‘link-up’ Posts which reflect on life’s journey, old memories and family stories (see below for more info).

Sometimes, life unexpectedly reveals its path to you in the most unusual of ways.
In honour of Halloween I thought we should dedicate this week’s Link Up to the humble passport photo. Rarely pleasing, usually ‘frightful’, these little booths have tracked our adventures in the simplest of ways.
For some reason I have held on to a number of my old passports. They hold great memories of far-flung places I’ve visited, but also act as a kind of road map through my life journey. Every few years they are updated, and as I have grown older, the pictures have become no less frightful, but act as an illustration of my growing up and getting old. Even the booths are a record of the changing times – orange curtains – remember those?!!
Here are a selection of those most worthy of an outing for Halloween.
Link up your own passport memories, frightful or not! Use your blog to create your own post, or simply share your memories in the comments. We’re here for a while, so no rush!!
