Just to be clear, Fast and Furious 6 made 38.7 in its first day of release, which was in May, during a time of the year when movies open big. Furious 7 opened in April and made 67.3M in one day. In one day, Furious 7 became the 9th highest grossing film of 2015. In one day, Furious 7 outgrossed the ENTIRE DOMESTIC GROSS of Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift. By the end of three days, Furious 7 will be the 4th highest grossing film of 2014. In three days, it will be the 293rd highest grossing film of all time, domestically. That’s how big it is. By the end of the three day weekend, Furious 7 will have outgrossed not only Tokyo Drift, but also the first and second films in the franchise. In three days.
