Fresh Finds Friday 9.21.17 | Lio Nicol – They Sent You Back Down

Posted on the 22 September 2017 by Entertainmentjolt @Entertain_Jolt

Another week has come and gone and we now have another new member to join the Fresh Finds Friday club.  Make sure you make a note of Lio Nicol who is now on our Fresh Finds Friday list with the song They Sent You Back Down.

There are a lot of things about this song that grabbed my attention right away.  One of the things you will notice right away when you listen to this song is the vocals.  When I first heard her sing I couldn’t help but stop what I was doing and listen to her.  Then when that chorus kicked in I started to get the little goosebumps on my arms and tapping my foot to the beat.  Think of Lio Nicol as the rocker more edger Colbie Caillat.

What I also like about this song is that it feels rawer than a lot of tracks out there nowadays.  I feel like nowadays a lot of artists put in a lot of instruments to try and cover up something they are lacking.  With this track, you can easily see it performed with the basic instruments the band needs.  Doing something like that on a track is a lot harder than it looks and takes a lot of talent.

With that said Lio Nicol is a force to be reckoned with.  She is making sure she is working with the top musicians that the industry has to offer and even Grammy award-winning producers.  She might be taking notes from all of these people as her website says that she is writing and recording new music so who knows how quickly we might see new music from this young artist.  Until we have new stuff I’m for sure putting this on my playlist which is on repeat.

Don’t believe me how good this song is?  Take a look at the music video below and tell us your thoughts on this week’s Fresh Find.
