one of the major issues people might have with the Free Planet idea is that ALL COUNTRIES MUST DIE. After all, for centuries, national pride has been ingrained into every soldier willing to give their lives to protect 'this sceptred isle' from invaders from foreign lands or defend 'that commercial interest' from the competition i.e. other r.i.s.k. game players. We have always been divided, as a world view, so that each side (each country) can be played off against the other. Red vs Blue.
Us vs Them.
Good vs Evil.
But these are all constructs, concepts clothed in maritime flags and legal language so that you are led to believe that 'what's ours is ours by divine right'. When it's not; it's mostly all stolen. On a Free Planet we have no need to 'own' anything. Everything is there for EVERYBODY, with no omissions or blacklists. We realize this and we're suddenly a totally new race of being. Death of 'your' Country is a major factor of what it means to be a Free Planet, that all the ring-fenced segregations of the Earth's fertile landmass should be unbordered and freed up from theological, philosophical and political imprisonment.

But what is 'your' country? Country, as it's understood today, is merely a taxation zone for consumers and workers. Think of how the world is really set up. A series of private satellite corporations have been organised via multi-national buy-outs under the umbrella-term CONGLOMERATE. A ubiquity, a unification, a homogenisation of all Diversity on this almost-ruined stripped-to-the-bone homeworld.
Think of the handfull of News Conglomerates, think of the handfull of Energy Conglomerates, think of the handfull of Big Pharma Conglomerates, think of the handfull of Manufacturing/Food Conglomerates; they're all mostly offering THE SAME GREY GOODS for the same gray service at the same gray price to you, their Consumer.
Emphasis here on THEIR CONSUMER, because that's all you are. Their Chattle. Whether you live in Afghanistan or Libya or Yemen or Paris or Sydney or Louisiana, the brain-washed slaves of corporations define this tacitly organised way of dividing the earth. It's the floating multi-national Corporations legally owned by Conglomerate Barons who (via their eager workforce) render the REAL COUNTRIES of this planet. You're their emigrating citizens, their floating staff, their clocked on/off serfs. Ruled by various forms of taxation and legislation from off-shore H.R.s of Financial Service like London, New York and Switzerland, these Kings and Queens of global governance practice free market capitalism with 'how the world is split into lots'. And it changes, as a for-profit war is won, or a competitor is outwitted (or subverted (or undercut)) into submission, but it's always the Same Game.
"One ring to bind them all," it was known about even back in Tolkein's day.
Looking back on Conglomerate History, it's clear to see that 'your' Country hasn't existed since the 1920s or perhaps earlier, other than as a virtual shell company to register your birth, employment and death to the Conglomerate Game Players. Country is a piece on a chess board. Country is a yoke around your neck. Country is why you 'hate the enemy', why you'll donate your life to their immoral 9-5, why you'll blithely accept all the fees, fines and penalties of City Life.
