Ralph's Life is delighted to have been asked to exclusively stream the brand new Franco & The Dreadnought video for Who Cares on the blog until its official release on Friday April 8th. We'll also be playing the track on Ralph's Radio KC Indie Show Sunday April 10th.

Franco & The Dreadnought

Franco and the Dreadnought is the pseudonym of Manchester born multi instrumentalist John Blaylock. It’s a winning combination of his heartfelt vocals, superb songwriting skills and his trusty Dreadnought acoustic guitar.
He's no stranger to success and as a testament to the power of his musical ability, he was asked personally by Desmond Tutu to write a song celebrating the life of Nelson Mandela. The archbishop gave the song entitled "Inyaniso" (translation - "Truth") as a gift to Mr Mandela for his birthday.

Franco & The Dreadnought has been making waves both sides of the Atlantic, having completed his first US tour in 2014. He was back in LA in April 2015 to keep up writing links with the likes of Rick Garcia, Pam Sheyne  and Marcella Detroit who he wrote Who Cares with.

He met with Marcella at the iconic WitZend venue in Venice and she helped sculpt the lyrics and melodies into the finished masterpiece.

Franco & The Dreadnought has also had two of his songs placed on US TV shows. Who Cares was written about a love he had to leave behind in Manchester as he embarked on his musical journey to LA..

Included are remixes from ScienceMusic and Nyquist, bringing their own unique take on the song with ambient electronica vibes and stripped back vocals highlighting Franco’s emotive lyrics.
