Plot: A year ago, an urban legend spread throughout the city: Your cell phone rings with chilling tone. On picking up you hear your own screams of terror, a premonition of the grisly death you will suffer soon afterwards. When the curse returns to strike again a young couple and a journalist embark on a quest to trace its source enlisting the help of a detective who has already pieced together man clues.

Verdict: Solid Sequel
Story: One Missed Call 2 starts as three friends Kyoko (Mimura), Mei-Pheung (Liu) and Madoka (Chisun) spend time in the Mei-Pheung’s family restaurant but when her father answers the phone he finds himself dying later that night. When journalist Takako (Seto) has been investigating the story of the mystery phone calls she takes an interest in this case.
When Madoka becomes the latest victims Kyoko, her boyfriend Naoto (Yoshizawa) and Takako look to get to the bottom of the curse to save Kyoko’s life and that means traveling to Taiwan. It is investigator and ex-husband of Takako Yuting that might know more than the rest as Takako finds only loose ends in Taiwan.
One Missed Call 2 is a solid sequel that does continue on and build on the original story. This does mean we don’t need to spend too much time explaining everything which would have been annoying but smoothly moving into story makes this watchable with the terror going on well. On the down side it does make certain moment overcomplicated by having too many spirits after our main characters. This is a good solid that is worth watching though.
Actor Review
Mimura: Kyoko is the latest victim selected by the spirit, she has to work with her boyfriend and journalist who has been trying to get to the bottom of everything while managing her own sanity through the time that could lead to her death. Mimura is good in this role that is full of terror.
Hisashi Yoshizawa: Naoto is the boyfriend of Kyoko who will do anything to make sure that she remains safe, he will stand by her side through everything. Hisashi is good for the most part in this role as we see him have moments of terror.
Asaka Seto: Takako in the journalist with a haunted past that has dedicated her career to uncovering everything going on with this serial killer on the end of all of these phone calls. She takes the couple with her as she tries to find the truth. Asaka is strong in this role throughout.
Shadow Liu: Mei-Pheung is the daughter of the first victim in the film, she is also friends with second victim and the selected third victim. Shadow is a supporting character that we don’t really see enough off.
Support Cast: One Missed Call 2 has a supporting cast that are all strong when needed without being too involved in the main story.
Director Review: Renpei Tsukamoto – Renpei gives us a horror that does have the moments of terror needed without reach the same levels as the first film.
Horror: One Missed Call 2 does have great moments with the Madoka being the highlight.
Mystery: One Missed Call 2 does keep us guessing on what is going on even though it does become overly complicated.
Settings: One Missed Call 2 moves the film too Taiwan which tries to bring in extra ideas for spiritual beliefs.
Special Effects: One Missed Call 2 continues to have great effects for the horror involve in the scenes.
Suggestion: One Missed Call 2 is one for the horror fans to try, I do think it will have the moment of horror need for the fans. (Horror Fans Try)
Best Part: Extra ideas behind the hauntings.
Worst Part: Slightly over confusing though.
