FOTD and Tag: Summer-fresh Rosy-Flush Make-up in 5 Minutes!

By Rashi Ravi Ganguly @sincerelylazy
Sorry for having been MIA for so long... hectic work and social engagements left me with no time to blog either in the mornings or in the evenings, and then I fell sick on Monday with a bad case of food poisoning :(But I'm feeling better now, and hope to be back in the groove with my blogging schedule in place. Today's post is just a sort of a quick ice-breaker before the real action begins! ;)
FOTD and Tag: Summer-fresh Rosy-Flush Make-up in 5 Minutes!
Summer is in full swing here in Kolkata with temperatures reaching 42 degrees, and though a couple of Nor'westers have brought some much needed relief, the humidity hasn't really abated. With such a clammy, sweaty, uncomfortable weather I really don't feel like putting on too much goop on my face, and have been sticking (pun unintended!) to essentials that are light, let my skin breathe and give me a natural, yet well-put-together look. On a day-to-day basis, I can't live without my TM, powder and kajal, and a hint of blush lifts up my complexion and mood like magic! For lips I prefer balmy, light-weight, sheer to medium coverage glossy lipsticks that are low-maintenance and easy to touch-up on the go. Pink, peach and coral are the colours that I love sporting through summer, and this look is my go-to 'pinky' make-up for hot and humid days.

That's it! No concealer, no brow-pencil, no mascara - the whole look literally takes 5 minutes to put together, and I see a bright, glowing and fresh face everytime I look into the mirror. It is a look I've been wearing a lot lately, with minor variations in the shade of lipstick/blush and the colour/shape of the kohl. Sometimes I use a peachy-coral lipstick and peachy-pink blush to make it a sweet, fresh and understated peachy-flush make-up look. Best for hurried mornings, best for hot summer days, really good for work-related meetings and/or lunch dates - total win-win in my book! :D
Do you like this kind of make-up? What are your day-to-day summer make-up essentials? Are you too, like me, fond of quick make-up fixes? Let me know in the comments!
