A group of former  Nokia staff and enthusiasts MeeGo is rumored to have created a startup company named Jolla (Finnish language for the term rescue ship) in order to create a new MeeGo devices to be sold into the market. Jolla will be led by Marc Dillon as COO. Marc Dillon, a former Nokia employee who has worked nearly 11 years, has been a key engineer for MeeGo (Maemo) since January 2006. jolla tweet In an official statement, said that Nokia has created something wonderful that is the best smartphone in the world. This needs to be continued so that they will work together with great people to continue the success story MeeGo. Together with international partners and investors, Jolla will design, develop, and sell a smartphone based on MeeGo. Jolla team consists of several directors and key engineers and will recruit the best MeeGo enthusiasts to contribute to the production of the latest generation of smartphones. Jolla is not affiliated with Nokia so it will not provide support and updates for the Nokia N9 or N950. source
