Cosy Sardinian hospitality
It would be easy to insert some sardine comment on the size of this dinky cafe, but I won’t ;). Its a perfect little sized placed to watch the world go by and get to know your fellow diners. Being only opened a couple of days, the space is sparkly and fresh, however this doesn’t hinder the welcoming feeling, helped by us dashing in out of the torrential summer rain.

The displays of cakes and sandwiches and pizzas caught our eye. What was going to be a coffee stop turned into something bigger!

We decided on an Americano, Darjeeling tea and a green chai. Margharita pizza slices with cherry tomatoes for two of us. A pot of mixed olives arrived whilst waiting for our order.
Home made pizza with cherry tomatoes
Pots of tea arrived (Teapigs tea) as well as a good sized cup of coffee.(Caffe del Doge). The pizza slices contained delicious amounts of Mozzarella and sweet cherry tomatoes on a bready base. By this point the cakes won, they were almost taunting us from the display.

The cakes, what can we say. The apple cake had that delicious home made texture, perfect with a cuppa. The brownie on the other hand was typically gooey and decadently sweet. Lovely, friendly service. Cosy surroundings, home style lunch with plentiful tea. £16.80 for two pizza slices, one americano, two pots of tea and three cakes.
