Flowers Of Borneo

(c) A-Z-Animals.com Borneo is the third largest island in the world and located very close to the equator. It is well known to many as a place where unique animals are found including orangutans and proboscis monkeys and a rich diversity of habitats that are bursting with life and provide the islands inhabitants with the perfect places for which to live (most notably, the large swathes of pristine rainforest).

Although the extent of the native wildlife is known to many, the plant species are often overlooked but they too are often unique to the island and number into the thousands. Carnivorous plants, mangroves and the largest flower in the world are all found growing in and making up the lush forests and there are also many species of beautiful smaller flowers that can be found here, some of which resemble blooms that we can identify with and others that are very peculiar indeed.
