Flowers for a large Christmas dinner venue

While some festive gatherings are small or intimate affairs, thers cater to larger groups. Your family dinner might be a quiet event but corporate events cater to a much larger number of people. As a result, planning these larger events is more complex than simply planning a dinner held at home. It's not only about the guestlist and food, but also the décor and flowers.

When planning the decorations and floral displays, it's good to know how many people you can expect as well as how your tables will be arranged. Understanding the layout of the venue will help you find the best way of decorating it. Each guest will need their own place setting which means that there needs to be enough space on the table for each guest's plate, glass, cutlery, and napkin. Knowing how much extra space you have on the table will determine the best type of décor to choose.

Now that you have an idea of how many arrangements you will need and how large they need to be, you should choose a colour scheme. For Christmas, many people opt for the classic red, white, and green. However, you could choose gold and red or blue and silver. You could even focus more on the dark green colour aspect and add natural accents like pine cones and cinnamon sticks or even festive berries. Once you have chosen the colours you want to use, it's time to choose flowers. Different flowers are available in different colours. This means that the colours you choose will determine the types of flowers you can use. Red flowers like roses and carnations are popular. You could even use traditional poinsettias. If you want the blue and silver colour scheme, ask your florist about colouring or spray painting flowers blue and others silver. The same goes for gold aspects of the red and gold colour scheme.

When you have chosen the colours and flowers, you should get in touch with your florist. Inform them regarding the date and location of the event and ask if they are able to provide delivery to this location and on this day. Remember, if you need your flowers before a certain time, you should make sure that the florist is aware of this and that this stipulation becomes part of the deal. The last thing you want is for your guests to arrive before the flowers do!

If delivery is a problem and you are concerned about the flowers arriving too early, you could opt for artificial flowers instead. There are plenty of lovely options out there and many of them look very much like the real thing! You can have wreaths decorate doorways, swags on walls, and artificial flowers are also great for buffet tables. Remember to always decoarate the corners of your venue. If the hall has particularly high ceilings with no real architectural appeal, you could also hang sheets to create a drop ceiling effect. Stream flowers across these hanging sheets for an even more beautiful effect.
