Flowers and Birthstones Galore

By Jewelrygal @1928jewelry

When it comes to gift giving, jewelry is always a great option! Whether it’s for Mother’s Day, Christmas, a celebration or a birthday, giving someone special to you a piece of jewelry is always fun and meaningful. Even if it is only costume jewelry, it is something that person can keep with them forever, and every time they wear it they have the memory of you giving it to them!

We have posted a few times on this blog about birthstone jewelry and how here at 1928 we offer great costume jewelry with crystals that come in birthstone tones for a reasonable price. With Spring in the air, and Mother’s Day right around the corner we thought of another way to surprise mom with something extra meaningful and totally in season- Flowers! Go with a bouquet of her favorite colors and types of flowers or make your own bouquet of jewelry designs that will brighten up her day.

Floral is bigger and better than ever this season. We are seeing large graphic floral prints, floral jewelry and other floral inspired accessories. Some of my favorite looks from the S/S 11 runways shows were at Stella McCartney, Topshop, and Marc Jacobs which all used a 70’s vibe and mixed floral prints with easy, loose silhouettes. So when it comes to choosing the perfect jewelry styles to match those looks, think flower power!

So here’s our idea: since we love to give jewelry and we love the floral inspiration of the season, why not consider giving that special lady in your life her birth month flower and attach a piece of birthstone costume jewelry to match! Here’s the flower and birthstone rundown of each month and what you can give for Mother’s Day, a birthday or any other special day you plan on celebrating this Spring and Summer season.
