The LA-via-Oregon four-piece has been consistently dropping what the youth these days like to refer to as “fire singles”, and their new track “warm blood” is absolutely no exception, maybe even their best yet. More epic and driving than their previous releases, the track is a study in soaring syncopation and evocative lyrics. Taking no shortcuts, every corner of “warm blood” is filled with sound: shuffling beats, echoing synths, chopped vocals. In a display of the creative punch Flor packs, though, it all fits together achingly perfectly. Expertly toeing the same boundary between the trending twin influences of 80s pop and 90s R&B, like fellow rising acts like LANY and Made In Heights, Flor seems perfectly poised to turn heads in a big way.
