Fitness Friday: Fitness Layers

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

During the summer I can just head to the gym or yoga in my tank, capris and sandals. Not the case at the end of October! It was in the the 30’s when I headed to yoga sculpt yesterday morning at 5:30am. That was a chilly start to the day.

It’s the time of year to start layering. From tank and leggings all the way up to jacket and vest. These are a few of my favorite layering pieces.

Fabletics Cumberland tee and Infinity scarf. These are my goto’s for a light first layer. A super soft tee and scarf. These came with Fabletics outfit in September and I’ve gotten a lot of use out of them!

Skirt-The-Issue. This was a sample I was sent to review for the blog and it’s amazing! Time to remind everyone of a basic fashion rule…leggings are not pants. I know, I know. It’s hard to hear. I LOVE my gym leggings but they don’t offer enough coverage to wear outside of the gym as an outfit without having the booty covered. If they don’t have pockets on the back they aren’t pants and you need to have a layer over that booty. This is the perfect product for that! Pull it on over your leggings and you are good to go. No need to worry about flashing anyone. This can also be used as a scarf or top. Perfect for post gym outfits.

Avalanche Mogul top was a great TJ Maxx find and it so warm and fuzzy. I love the higher neck and the thumb holes. I think I’ve worn this at least 4 times in the last few weeks. If you are looking for a great pullover or jacket for the gym I highly recommend this brand. So affordable!

I’ve had at least 3 basic black vests from Old Navy over the years. You can usually find them on sale for under $30.  And they are perfect for throwing on over a 1/2 zip style top.

And for those extra chilly mornings that C9 fleece headband to cover those ears. It was on sale for under $10 and the cartwheel app had an extra 25% off. Love it!
