This is the one I’ve been waiting on. I love Dan Slott on Spider-Man, so when it was announced that he and Mike Allred were doing a new Silver Surfer, I was immediately intrigued. However, I’ve never been a big Surfer fan. I’ve read several of the Ron Marz/Ron Lim issues from years back, but never on a consistent basis.
Then I happened to be listening to a podcast where the guest was Dan Slott. He said something like Silver Surfer was going to be his Doctor Who. Consider my ears perked up and paying attention at the mere mention of my favorite madman in a box. If Dan Slott, a Doctor Who fan, was going to be writing stories for Silver Surfer that would be anything like Doctor Who, then I am so there.
